A stunning view from Multnomah falls in Oregan. The that day started out cloudy, we already knew that meant a little chance of rain, however we were not deterred. The fall is very beautiful and serene. we absorbed every thing nature had to offer, we drank from the stream ( although I was skeptical at first). Our hike started off pretty nice , my two friends and I were so pumped walking the trails but little did we know how out of shape we were .Multnomah falls includes three separate drops (the upper falls, the main falls, and the lower falls for a total of 635 feet, It is also the highest waterfall in Oregon. At some point during our hike we actually got lost, which was the interesting part, I became hysterical the most and imagined being attacked by bears and joked about whom to sacrifice first. we kept looping around the entire forest ( It is a forest at this point) only to realize we were infact ascending and not descending at all. oh! IF I REMEMBER CLEARLY TOOO… we had reached the end of the trail, but then we met this lovely elderly couple who persuaded us to go further. ” oh! my it is so worth it and beautiful, you guys might as well just keep going, there are other beautiful views” . Yep! so we went ahead, I mean why not…and boom.. YEP! we got lost. good thing though! the temperature was not so hot; as a matter of fact, it was cloudy, then sunny for like 3 seconds, then it started to rain, then it hailed simultaneously ( Amazing right??? NOT!). The joke was on us obviously. I did my best to wet my feet as much as possible, not sure if that was the best idea, at some point of the hike I couldn’t even feel my toes and fingers ( yes the water was cold). I was just too excited and in tune with nature to almost care about my slight hypothermia. But was it worth it in the end??? HECK YEAH!
P.S you do feel the hike burn a day later though! 🙂
